Apresentação

The Postgraduate Program in Pharmacy (PPGFar) aims to provide human resources with pedagogical competence for activities that enhance quality of life, research, and in-depth technical and scientific studies through mastery and application of technologies relevant to drug studies, clinical analysis, and the interrelationship between both areas.

The PPGFar is directly affiliated with the Departments of Clinical Analysis and Pharmaceutical Sciences within the Health Sciences Center at UFSC. Its scope prioritizes multidisciplinary and interinstitutional approaches, both nationally and internationally, considering the resulting social, economic, environmental, and policy implications of its graduates’ actions in society. Furthermore, in pursuing its objectives, the Program will contribute to enhancing healthcare services provided to the community and advancing the field of Pharmacy in the country.

To achieve its objectives, the Program is divided into two main areas of concentration – Pharmaceutical Drugs and Clinical Analysis – which encompass various research lines. The Pharmaceutical Drugs concentration area comprises the following research lines: (i) Development of Pharmaceutical Forms, (ii) Quality Assurance of Pharmaceutical Inputs, Products, and Services, and (iii) Investigation of Natural, Semisynthetic, and Synthetic Products with Potential Biological Activity. In contrast, the Clinical Analysis concentration area comprises the following research lines: (i) Development of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Monitoring Strategies for Physiopathological Conditions, and (ii) Molecular and Cellular Mechanisms Involved in Physiopathological Processes.
